Maple Hollow Farm is a purebred Polled Dorset and Tunis operation. We emphasize fall lambing as well as productive ewes that can lamb on their own without assistance, raise those lambs without assistance and maintain their body condition on pasture.

We select our sheep for muscling, structural correctness, and body capacity.We are critical of feet and legs and like to see heavy boned sheep.

We currently run about 100 Dorset ewes and 15 Tunis ewes. We also added a couple Border Leceister ewes last year, the first was an award to Heidi through the Youth Conservation Program.
Oct 2011 Tunis

The Tunis flock was started in 2004 with the purchase of two spring ewe lambs from the Wise flock. These sheep have been shown successfully throughout the country at state and national shows.

   
Halloween Snow A freak early storm brought about 8 inches of snow just before Halloween this year. The ewes foraged through the snow for a couple days until the snow melted. The photos below show some late sprimg lambs on pasture.
   
   
Miss Pollambi This exceptionally thick ewe lamb was sired by a Pollambi Farm ram through our AI program. She combines her muscling with lots of body capacity, body length and traditional Polled Dorset breed character. She is pictured here at about 150 days of age. Watch for more of these exciting lambs this spring!
