Maple Hollow
Farm is a purebred Polled Dorset and Tunis operation. We emphasize fall
lambing as well as productive ewes that can lamb on their own without
assistance, raise those lambs without assistance and maintain their body
condition on pasture.
We select our sheep for muscling, structural correctness, and body capacity.We are critical of feet and legs and like to see heavy boned sheep. We currently have 60 Dorset ewes and 10 Tunis ewes. All of them have been exposed to lamb this fall. In addition we have a group of 23 fall ewe lambs and 21 spring ewe lambs. Some of these are available for sale, while the remainder will enter the brood ewe flock. |
